SYNOPSIS

As monitoring environments become increasingly interconnected, engineering teams must manage not only device-level performance but also system-wide integration, data flow, and long-term serviceability. This session focuses on the technical considerations required to support these environments effectively.

AGENDA

  • Topics

    The workshop will cover:

Serviceability and hardware architecture of modern patient monitoring platforms, including practical insights into maintenance, component access, and reliability considerations.

System compatibility and upgrade pathways, with a focus on interoperability between legacy and current-generation monitoring solutions.

Integrated system workflows, demonstrating how bedside devices, central monitoring systems (CMS), and workstations interact within a connected infrastructure.

Remote device management and configuration, including approaches to software deployment, system updates, and fleet-level visibility.

Data integration and system behaviour, including how clinical data is captured, transmitted, and displayed across the monitoring network

We will provide a practical, engineering-level understanding of how connected monitoring systems are structured, maintained, and supported, equipping you with knowledge that can be applied within your own technical environment.
